Jobs Junction
Jobs Junction was set up on 1 October 2004 and is jointly supported by the Strategic Health Authority and Jobcentre Plus. The brokerage is based at Whipps Cross Hospital, along a main corridor near the Trust restaurant. It acts as a ‘one-stop’ mini job centre for people seeking work within the hospital.
The team of three staff provide a drop in service for clients, offering help with job searching, guidance on completing application forms and information on available training.
The brokerage has recruited a range of staff from domestics to senior nursing staff. In 2004-2005, it employed 189 people.
